Grants are available through MAHPERD for the purpose of enhancing your physical education programs for the academic year 2009-2010.  Funds of up to $1000 will be available per program application.  Two $1,000 grants will be awarded as well.

Criteria for eligibility are as follows: 
     1)  Must be a member of MAHPERD at time of application.
     2)  Must be willing to share program impact of funding with colleagues at  annual convention.
     3)  Funds received must be used specifically for Physical Education program enhancement, not athletics. 
Funds will be awarded based upon justification of need.

Looking to start a team or include lacrosse in your PE curriculum.  US LACROSSE would like to announce our youth equipment grant application is now available online at http://www.uslacrosse.org/programs/youthequipmentgrant.phtml.  Grants include a full team’s worth of equipment (sticks and protective gear) and are awarded to programs within their first year of operation. Applicant programs must be comprised of players or students under age 19 and demonstrate financial need. Priority is given to those residing in a state or region where lacrosse opportunities are currently limited or absent.  Be sure to fill out the equipment grant application and submit by August, 15th.
